TISCO has set up a stainless steel industrial park in its home town of Taiuyan west of Beijing, where it has an integrated carbon steel plant but also makes stainless.

The park contains companies that make things out of stainless steel, from kitchen utensils, cookers, cutlery,pots and pans to pipes and valves and street furniture. They have built and exhibition showings of what is on offer and there is also a supermarket attached where you can buy and new potato masher, a new set of cutlery or a nice piece ofjewellery for the loved one.

Chances of it catching on elsewhere I feel sadly are slim.
